2004年8月23日各位この度、日本Linux協会は、JLAセミナーを開催することになりました。今回は、来日予定のDan Aloni氏にもご講演をお願いしております。以下にご案内させていただきますので、是非、ご参加下さいますようお願い申し上げます。 ================================================================= JLA 2004年9月セミナーのご案内 ================================================================= ●日時: 2004年9月16日(木) 14:00 ～ 17:20 (13:30受付開始) ●場所: 日立システムプラザ新川崎特別会議室 (新川崎三井ビル EAST 17階) 　　　　JR横須賀線新川崎駅下車徒歩5分　　　　JR南武線鹿島田駅下車徒歩3分 http://www.hitachi.co.jp/Div/system/japanese/info/traffic/isd_trf3.htm http://www.mapion.co.jp/c/here?S=all&F=mapi3517073040820134241 ●プログラム 14:00-15:00 「Debconf4参加報告」　講師：後藤正徳氏　略歴：Debian Projectオフィシャルメンバ、Debian JP Projectメンバ、 YLUG 発起人。コンピュータ全般、とりわけフリーソフトウェアと Un*xに関心を持って活動している。　概要：Debconf とは、Debian GNU/Linux ディストリビューション開発者が世界中から集うカンファレンスである。今年はブラジルにて開催された。本発表では Debconf4 の概要を紹介する。 <10分休憩> 15:10-16:10 「KNOPPIXの色々なブート方法(仮)」　講師：須崎有康氏（産業技術総合研究所）　概要：KNOPPIXは1CD Linux として人気があるが、その特徴は「高度な自動デバイス認識機能」と「ルートファイルシステムが圧縮ループバックデバイスによって１ファイルにまとめまり扱いやすいこと」による。この二つの特長を生かして色々なブート方法を開発しているのでそれらを紹介する。 <10分休憩> 16:20-17:20 「Cooperative Linux(仮)」　講師：Mr. Dan Aloni (Israeli Open University) 　概要：In this presentation I'll describe Cooperative Linux, a port of the Linux kernel that allows it to run as an unprivileged lightweight virtual machine in kernel mode, on top of another OS kernel. It allows Linux to run under any operating system that supports loading drivers, such as Windows or Linux, after minimal porting efforts. The paper includes the present and future implementation details, its applications, and its comparison with other Linux virtualization methods.
